I'm a person who loves to move. I've been a freelance dance artist for over 15 years and this has enabled me to connect with people and communities across the world as well as at home here in Scotland. My dance and physical theatre practice includes performing, choreographing, movement direction and teaching.
Most recently, I have been working with All or Nothing as an aerial dance artist and facilitator on the Creatability Project 2022, which is with young people who are neurodivergent or have physical or learning disabilities. I was also an associate artist for Scotland on Onna Doherty's Fly The Flag 2022 - a film project, commissioned by Sky Arts, where young people from across the UK explore freedom of expression and opinion.
During lockdowns, I've been developing my digital/remote practice. This has included making short dance films with young people through Achievement Bute, teaching online and launching a company, We Are Witches, with my dear friend and flatmate Kim Moore,
I'm a founding member of Glasgow based contemporary dance company Barrowland Ballet which has enabled me to perform and travel worldwide as well as lead on and develop participatory projects in local communities - most recent productions include the Tiger Trilogy, Poggle and Whiteout
As a creative performer, I've also worked with Caroline Bowditch Company, Wee Stories, Stillmotion, David Hughes Dance, Freshmess Dance Company and Alan Greig Dance Theatre.
As a dance and movement artist, I've worked on projects with Raw Material, Cora Bisset, Grid Iron Theatre Company, BBC Alba, Akram Khan Company, Edinburgh International Festival, Scottish Ballet, National Theatre of Scotland, Michael Clark Company, Scottish Dance Theatre, Vox Motus Theatre Company, East London Dance and Y-Dance.
I trained at Edinburgh's Telford College from 2002-2005 where I gained a BA Honours in Dance and an HND in Professional Stage Dance.
